Journey through Namibia

Namibia is a truly magical and unforgettable destination that is worthy of every photographer’s bucket list! We’ve crafted an immersive journey with our travel partner ExploerX, of exploration and discovery to expand your photography in one of the world’s most captivating countries.

Made up of seven cluster regions, Namibia is a country of infinite opportunities and diversity, from its topography to its culture, history, and wildlife. During this adventure, we’ll explore many of these regions including vast deserts, some of the highest sand dunes in the world, and expansive canyons. Every step of the way, Doug will be there with you to help you capture your memories through meaningful images.

Our workshop makes it easy for you to focus on photography over two amazing weeks. We’ll travel as a group via comfortable van and stay in unique lodges located in breathtaking scenery so you can experience the beauty of Africa at all hours. Joining us will be an extremely knowledgeable local guide, provided by Explorer X. Our journey was developed to include some optional excursions, as well as some time to relax or explore on your own so you can set your own pace to fully experience the power of Namibia!

Highlights include:

  • NamibRand International Dark Sky Reserve, only the second place on Earth that was designated with Gold Tier status because of its exceptionally dark skies.

  • Etosha National Park, the country’s largest protected wilderness where wildlife is abundant.

  • Namib-Naukluft Park with skeleton trees and red dunes soaring against blue sky.

  • Kolmanskop Ghost Town with old buildings being taken over by drifting sand, creating unique and beautiful compositions.
